Sunday Times Magazine February 10th 2002 1962 – 2002 Anniversary Issue – 40 years of Sunday Times journalism week two : the Seventies
No other magazine defined the 1970’s more than The Sunday Times. Its worldwide reputation for photojournalism and fashion already established, it turned its attention to agenda setting investigations and lifestyle issues, creating a brand of ‘glossy-steely’ journalism. We started the decade by reopening the case of Marilyn Monroe’s death and ended it with a prophecy of the Falklands war. Our cover stories chronicled the people, places and events that shaped the times.
All our magazines are the original first day copies. The photographs shown are the copy that is for sale.
